Expert View: “One of the most common ways for businesses, large or small, to be affected by climate change is through disruptions to supply chains. The 2011 floods in Thailand, for instance, resulted in a global shortage of hard drives as major parts manufacturers were forced to suspend production. Climate impacts on supply chains are challenging for businesses as they affect operations that are not under their direct control. However, by working co-operatively with suppliers it is possible to increase supply chain resilience. As Paul Taylor of Camira Fabrics says "If you are... looking at minimizing climate risk... you have an obligation to support smaller organisations in your supply chain. By improving their resilience, you are building the resilience of your own organisation
