The physical impacts associated with a changing climate will have commercial implications for institutional investors, commercial banks as well as insurers/ re-insurers. All will be indirectly affected through impacts on their clients and investments portfolios. As Peter Moon (USS Chief Investment Officer) says, “[investors] will need more and better information about how companies and other assets will be affected [by climate change]”. Integrating climate considerations into financial services is required to ensure that investors can make better informed decisions as to how to allocate their long-term capital.”
