Richard is a Policy Analyst at Acclimatise
Richard's doctorate - completed at the Department of Geography, King's College London (2016) - investigated the nature and practice of water policy in Central Asia. The project adopted an anthropological approach, and focussed on environmental institutions, knowledge, and education. The research involved extended research stays in Kazakhstan, the Library of Congress (USA), and the University of Fribourg (CH). His passion relates to the potential of working across the arts and sciences for stimulating innovative responses to environmental change.
Richard also holds an MSc in Practicing Sustainable Development from Royal Holloway, University of London and a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford.
He is fluent in Spanish, and has a working knowledge of Russian and Welsh.
