Serena is a Policy Researcher at Acclimatise.
Before joining Acclimatise, Serena worked as a consultant for the World Bank under the Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development (KNOMAD). She was involved in a research project on the Impact of the NAPs and the potential improvements to address human mobility from a comparative South-South perspective, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Before the World Bank, she did an internship at IOM in the Department of International Cooperation and Partnership (ICP) and the Department of Migration Management (DNM) within the Migration, Environment and Climate Change Division.
Serena holds a MSc in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs with major in Economics and Development Policy from the University of Bologna. She also studied at Science Po Strasbourg. Her main areas of interest include climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and climate induced migration and displacement.
Serena is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
