Amanda is a Risk Analyst at Acclimatise North America
Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Amanda is an expert in climate communication and literacy and making climate data useful and relevant for non-scientific users. Her interest lies in helping clients identify their climate vulnerabilities and engaging partners from distinct sectors in developing mutually beneficial adaptation strategies.
Prior to joining Acclimatise, Amanda was a Visiting Scholar at NOAA’s Cooperative Institute on Climate and Satellites where she analyzed climate data sets for potential applications and resiliency planning. She also worked as a Communications Officer for HabitatSeven where she helped coordinate outreach and engagement for the Third National Climate Assessment.
Amanda has live on four continents and travelled to more than 30 countries. Prior to her graduate studies, she volunteered with a local conservation initiative in the Bolivian Amazon.
She holds an MSc in Environmental Development from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Environmental Politics. A Polish-Canadian national, Amanda is trilingual in Polish, Spanish and English.
