Anu is the Policy and Governance Lead for Acclimatise in India
Anu is based in Acclimatise’s New Delhi office and is focussed on adaptation and risk resilience projects in India, South Asia and South East Asia. Anu is an expert on the multi-level governance of climate change with a special focus on sub-national climate planning in India, and national adaptation planning globally. She is a qualitative researcher with a background in media and communications and has extensive knowledge on media discourse analyses of climate change and other environmental issues. Anu has over seven years’ experience as a climate policy researcher and practitioner, some of which overlaps with her time as a journalist and long format reporter, during which she also reported on climate change issues. Prior to joining Acclimatise, Anu was with the Centre for Policy Research in New Delhi and her work focused on State Action Plans on Climate Change in India. She started her career with CNBC India in 2001. Anu is a Chevening scholar and holds a MSc. in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford and a postgraduate degree in media studies from the Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, India.
